SBP vs Oracle CPU

Good evening,

We have recommendation in our systems, to apply the latest Oracle CPUs, if possible 4 times x year, when they are released ( Jan, Apr, July, Oct, etc )

I have a question to everyone, are these Oracle CPU patches the same thing as SAP Bundle Patches ? Is the CPU included in the SBP ? Or they are totally different activities?

Yes. Oracle patches for SAP are provided as SBP (SAP Bundle Patches) and they are based on patch set updates (PSU) that contain corrections for known bugs, critical patch updates (CPU), MOpatch and OPatch tools.

The newer version of SBP will contain all the patches provided in the previous SBP.

You should download the SBP from SAP.

So CPU is a part of SBP, along with PSU, MOpatch and OPatch.

Yes. There will be a bugs_fixed.html along with the README.html which will contain all the bug fixes included in the bundle patch.
