Instance DVEBMGS00 reached state SHUTDOWN after having state STARTING. Giving up.

Hi all,

    While installing NW 7.3 EHP1 on SLES 11. At Phase "Start Instance" I am getting this error "Instance BWA/DVEBMGS00 reached state SHUTDOWN after having state STARTING. Giving up". I also read and tried solutions of this error as mentioned in this blog. I also did startsap manually. But on sapinst I am get the same error.

RAM Size : 15 GB

SWAP      :  6GB

TMPFS    :  20GB

Hello

Issue R3trans -d and provide the resulting trans.log file

Also provide the dev_disp, dev_w0 and dev_ms trace logs.

Thanks for the reply.

Now error is solved. The error is due to mapping hostname to loopback address 127.0.0.1 in /etc//hosts file.
