question in Opentext installation

I have almost done the installation for an Opentext archive server by following the guide below:

OpenText Archive Server Installation on UNIX®/Linux®, (AR100101-IASUO-EN-7) version 10.1.1.

I get some problem and I want to uninstall this archive server.

Per the instruction from above guide page 35:

With NetWeaver running:

• Change to the <RCS workspace>/staging/deploy/tool directory.

• Execute the eardeployer script, using the following command:

eardeployer.ksh ‑operation=undeploy ‑user=Administrator

‑password=<password>

I am not sure what does "With NetWeaver running"  mean here. Because

1) Netweaver is never installed on this box

2) this newly installed archive server has no link to external Netweaver  either.

Your explanation is highly appreciated .

Regards.

When you install a archive server for Open text you need to have a web service application server linked to it . It can be a NW CE 7.1 system Apache Tomcat .

So if you are using NW CE 7.1 system related to it you need to use this option.

Thanks

Hello Jenna

eardeployer.ksh ‑operation=undeploy ‑user=Administrator ‑password=<password>

I would check the eardeployer.ksh script file and see what exactly the script is doing.

The argument ‑operation=undeploy makes me think that it is used to undeploy the components deployed before.

The Administrator user and password is mostly required for a J2EE stack and that is the reason why the guide says that the NetWeaver system should be up.

In any case you can raise an OSS message and get the support from SAP.
