Data Migration in EFM

Dear Everyone,

I'm looking of information/documentation about the different type of tool we can use when migrating our data in Employee File Management. Opentext has recommended using EXR3. Is there any other options for mass upload? We wanted first to know what are the available options before we decide which tool to use.

Raynard,

Did you try BDC recording to archive the documents to migrate in case of physical documents. But think about how to handle the attributes before doing it.

  In case of physical documents with attributes use EXR3 Pipeline the document should be  provided together with its COMMANDS file and IXATTR file.

This helps to  create directory structure in transfer directory with subdirectories underneath it. EXR3 is well acquitted with this structure to archive the document successfully.

On successful completion check whether the object id in the attributes file on OTAS and SAP TOA01 tables has the right entries to match.

Thanks a lot. We are still on the planning stage. We didn't start anything yet. What we wanted to know what are our options when doing migration aside from EXR3. Or is the EXR3 the only option available for us?
