Dear Testing Experts,
I am working on Test automation tool eCATT/CBTA and I have created a System Data container for ECC System.
Customer Landscape has ECC as well as CRM system.
Now, there is a customer requirement in which the customer wants create Sales Order in CRM system and Display the same Sales Order in ECC system.
The customer wish to execute the Test Scripts in both ECC and CRM managed system in one Test Configuration only.
My question is that should I place all the Managed system in one System Data Container or should I create different System Data Container, one for each Managed System??
Please help !
Best Regards,
Kavita.
HI Kavita,
you can create system data container for an existing SAP Solution Manager project or a solution
Creating a System Data Container in the Test Automation Framework - SAP Documentation
kindly check the above link it gives the steps.
if you have used ECATT etc it is the same thing and basically you assign the test case to the logical components which are involved in the respective business process. At runtime, the RFC destinations are derived automatically.
hope this resolves
Regards
Prakhar

Hi Kavita,
Not with CBTA, but the regular testing practices ( we used to have these scenarios in HP QC/QTP) to create single data container and test script must compatible with both ecc and crm shared containers.
regular ecatt allows to store different target systems in single data container.
Please try these options with cbta, it should work,
Thanks
Jansi
