Hello experts,
Has anyone connected the GRC BRM + ARM to the SRM?
I would like to read some feedback on the process,
so please write a comment or maybe add a link for further info.
Thanks and Regards
Michal
Hi Michal
Please check below and see if it helps ?
SAP GRC can be connected to any of the SAP standard system (i.e. ECC/CRM/HR/BI/SRM/R3, etc.) SAP GRC plugin package (VIRSANH/VIRSAHR for 5.X release OR GRCPINW/GRCPIERP for 10.0 release) can be installed on any of these SAP standard releases.
The only difference in these systems are SAP_HR component. If any of these system has SAP_HR component installed, you need to install VIRSAHR or GRCPIERP package in addition to VIRSANH or GRCPINW grc packages.Apart from the installation packages (HR or Non-HR), there is no much difference connecting to these systems.
GRC system can perform below activities on any of these SAP systems.
Risk analysis for Users/Roles/Profiles
Role provisioning (assigning/deleting/modifying the validity) to users
User creation on any of the R3 system + on Portal also
Risk Terminator

Hi Michal.
Let me explain my experience during the implementation project of SAP GRC AC v5.3 & SAP SRM 7.0, so it can be helpful to you.
Firstly, the new releases of SRM do not work by tcodes (it is based on webdynpros) such as an ERP does. Nevertheless, Basis functions work as always ( i.e. PFCG, SU01, SE11, SPRO, etc...). In contrast, business functions could be analyzed through a combination of authorization objects.
Thus, during the project, it was possible to integrate ARA and ARM modules. But the BRM was not able to integrate because of GRC 5.3 was imposible to generate webdynpros, on the other hand in GRC 10.0 you can log on to SRM abap stack and create the role through a PFCG simulation.
Finally, I guess that EAM module would not be able to deployed due to it gets information from tcode execution (tables CDHDR, etc...)
