Deliveries with different routes in one single shipment

Hi All,

1) Can we have more than one deliveries with different routes in one single shipment document. Is it possible to include such deliveries. Any special config required.

2) If above is possible, then how is header route determined in shipment document ?

3) In our ECC system,in every route config,we have departure point/destination point mentioned. Clearly it means that the  stages in delivery are determined from route ?. is this correct ? if this is correct, then that means if we have two routes in two deliveries in one shipment, the stages will be created based on departure/destaination point automatically. Am I right ?

4) If routes have departure/destination points (that is stages to be created from routes ), how will system sequence the stages in shipment document if there are more then one deliveries with different routes.

5) Currently we have shipments created manually in ECC. when we create a shipment, we manually add deliveries in shipment document. Then we need to click on planning button and then a pop up comes which asks for forwarding agent , check in dates etc. Rout is already determined from pop up.if deliveries are not already added to shipment, then on clicking planning button, route is not  determined in shipment . I need to know what is the relevance of this planning button ?

6) Now we will not manually create shipments. The shipment creation inbound idoc (shpmnt05) in ECC will come from external system. Now we have two challenges.

a) as soon as idoc comes into ECC and creates shipment in ECC, we want the shipment document to be in planning status. How this is possible ?  since  otherwise the route will not be determined. in shipment.

b) The stages in inbound idoc into ECC are in E1EDK33 segment. Since the route in ECC has departure/destination point, we have asked abapers not to read data from E1EDK33 and it's child segment E1EDT44 001/002 for departure/dest points since single or multiple stages are determined from routes even if there are multiple deliveries with different routes in single shipment . Is this a correct decision ?

c) If you expect us to read the E1EDK33 and it's child segments as in point B above, then do the idoc needs to carry the E1ED44 segments in some sequence provided there are more than one E1EDK33 segments for multiple deliveries so that stages are determined correctly in correct sequence by ECC  during shipment creation ?

regards

Pamela

Hi Pamela,

please refrain from asking same questions in different forums as it's not a good practice.
