CCMS Alerts configured in Solman and Index partion having huge size

Hi,

Friends in our one of client having CCMS configured in Solman and the database size is around 2 TB.

INDEX                         102 942,31 (Size in MB)

INDEX PARTITION        705 855,44

TABLE                        206 822,56

TABLE PARTITION       235 033,94

As per above detail Index partition having largest size.

Now how can be reduse teh size of this database and how can improve the performance of the databse?

Hi Ganesh

Please confirm you DB version and also the name of the largest table in the system .  

For overall system maintenance - you need to keep a check on the fastest growing tables and take appropriate steps ..

One of the important notes for reference :

706478     Preventing Basis tables from increasing considerably

For releasing the space into the OS Level , generally we need to perform reorganization of the tables / indexes .

Hi Ganesh

Can you login to your satellite system and let us know the table name which is having the largest size

You can check that from the DBACOCKPIT --> Space --> Tables and Indexes
