More than 3 SUTs in a Bulk storage ( deactivate SUT Check)

Hy everybody,

my problem is like this:

I have a storage type defined with strategy B (Bulk storage) with SU Management activ

The capacity is maintained for all SUTs with capacity 99999

I want to be able to put stock in that storage type for 5 storage unit types.

But in the material master I can only maintain 3 SUTs.

In the storage type customizing there is this function "SUT-Check activ"

So, I though if I do not activate that, I would be able to put away any SUT into the storage type.

But still SAP gives me the error message "SUT not maintained for material".

Why do I need to maintain the SUT always?

Hello Manuel,

When you had activated Storage Unit Management, you are also supposed to define ID points. ID point is nothing but SUTs. You define ID point in SAP, then you move the material in Storage Units upto ID point first and then from their to final destination bins. So, obviously system will look for SUTs.

I just studied the help text of the SUT-check field again. And it has nothing to do with the check of the quant against the maintained 3 SUTs in the Material Master. It is only checking if the Storage unit has a SUT maintained that you want to put away.
