EWA for Database Host

Hi SAP Admin,

I have a productive SAP ECC 6 instance which is composed of :

• 1 physical server with Message Server and Enqueue Server
• 3 physicals servers with Dialog / Batch / Spool Work Process
• 1 physicall server with a database Oracle

I have configured my Early watch alert : the report is well generated in SAP Service MarketPlace.

Yet, all information regarding the server that contains the database are not collected.

Can anyone help me to configure it ?

I have installed saphostagent on database server.

Hi Jean,

Which version of saphostagent you have installed.

Also check , in SMSY, in database section.(regarding the database attribute)

Run the transaction os07 transaction and check whether it is receiving the information of the host or not.

Check the database attribute might be missing in dbacockpit.

Thanls for your reply.

the version of hostagent is 720/135.

The transaction os07 from dialog instance doesn't work : the error message is "there are systems problem on the remote host".

Hi Jean,

Kindly check whether the ccms agent  are running or not.

also paste the version of sap ccms agent.

Execute the below steps

1. Removed agent.lock file from the directory /usr/sap/<SID>/<Central Instance/dialog instance>/log/sapccms<x> (if java sapccmsr and if abap sapccm4x)

2.Executed the SAPCONTROL command

sapcontrol –nr <instance number> -function RestartService

I have not installed sap ccms agent.

I'm going to install it and see if it's better.

Hi Ashutosh,

I don't understand how to register sapccms agent. It ask me a profile file. Yet for standalone database instance, I dont' have have SAP profile.

Hi Jean,

/sapmnt/<SID> must be mounted.

You need to check sap note 1907739. make the changes.

Generate the adhoc EWA report and check it.
