Hello Sachin,

You should check ST02 on the affected application server. In "SAP MEMORY" area, section "Extended memory". Compare columns "MaxUse [KB]" and "In Mem[KB]". If the value displayed on MaxUse is the same (or near) as the value on In Mem, means that the server is running out of memory as a whole and therefore "EM/initial_size_MB" and/or "abap/heap_area_total" must be increased.

If the MaxUse value is nowhere near In Mem, means that a single workprocess is using too much memory, during specific transaction or report and therefore, quotas for single workprocess must be increased: "ztta/roll_extension", "abap/heap_area_dia" and "abap/heap_area_nondia".

Hope this helps!

Hi Sachin,

This is memory dump and points to memory resource issue. This dump occurs when your work process uses all the allotted quota like extended memory and heap memory.

Kindly have a look at the Note 1563641 TSV_NEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED dump.

The attached dump corresponds to the parameters  in your system

ztta/roll_extension ( in mb in your system)

abap/heap_area_dia ( 1.5Gb in here)

abap/heap_area_(non)dia

whose assigned quota has been used. Regarding parameter values you may check note 789477 - Large extended memory

or you may increase 1 Gb to each parameter quota which is exhausted and keep monitoring.

Also if dumps are from Z programs then it needs verification from developers too.
