Why delivery is creating with ZERO quantity for STO?

Hi,

We are creating delivery through VL10G for STO , and delivery is created with zero quantity, however there is stock for the same article and supplying site, which we can view in MD04,

We know, how to stop to make zero quantity by making changes in delivery related item category for transaction code 0VLP, but we would like to know that why it is creating with zero quantity, even though there is stock,

Our ATP check is defined in below manner,

In STO, we can see that the define checking rule is

Availability check: 02: Individual requirement

Checking Rule: 01 - Checkig rule 01, Attached screen shots as well

Also we have defined the assign delivery type and checking rule  01, Attached screen shots

Please advise, why delivery is creating with zero quantity for STO (UB purchase order type)?

Hi, Make sure you have input storage location in STO. You may have to cancel your delivery and recreate it.

Hi,

If there is enough stock for that material in that plant then you will get PO quantity automatically into delivery level.So,we need to maintain picked quantity accordingly. Actually,system will allow you to create delivery with "0" quantity in standard SAP.But as you said ,we can control this.

Could you please let ,me know n which field ( is it in delivery qty field? ) is taking automatically "0".

Hi Narendra,

In your delivery item category settings,In the control field "Check Quantity 0", you need to maintain "B", which means that system will not create delivery with 0 quantity and will give an error message. You must also have availability check indicator as "Blank". Which means the item category is relavant for availabality check.

As far as stock avalailabilty is concrened, please refer CO09 for available quantity details.

Zero quantity is appearing in delivery for delivered quantity (LIPS-LFIMG),  and it is happning for only when i am create delivery from STO, while delivery from  sales order is working fine,

As i mentioned, we know that by making B in item category will stop to create Delivery with zero quantity and it will give error, but question is why ZERO quantity is coming into delivery eventhough there is stock?

Hi Vanraj,

Ideally CO09 would have given you the entire details for stock availability. There might be open  orders (with cornfirmed deliveries ) and open deliveries due to which system is giving 0 stock availability. To get the list of open orders / deliveries please check VBBE table for the material and plant combination.
