Hi All,
While performing managed system configuration in Solution Manager 7.1 SPS 08, in step 4. Assign Diagnostics Agent gives the below error:
SOAP:1.023 SRT: Processing error in Internet Communication Framework: ("ICF Error when receiving the response: HTTPIO_PLG_CANCELED")
Could not ping web service on the solution manager java stack
SOAP:1.023 SRT: Processing error in Internet Communication Framework: ("ICF Error when receiving the response: HTTPIO_PLG_CANCELED")
Web service invocation problem on host <solman hostname> and port 8002 protocol : http logical port name : LP_WS_SMDAGENT_MONITORING
As there is a logical port LP_WS_SMDAGENT_MONITORING, I have checked step 4.3 Enable Web Services in System Preparation is already Green.
Any idea on how to trouble-shoot this?

Hi Tanmeya,
Apply the latest LMservice file Support Package 08 for LM-SERVICE 710 Patch 5 in solution manager system (1483508 - Solution Manager 7.1: Root Cause Analysis pre-requisites)
Goto transaction SMICM -> Menu Goto -> HTTP Application server -> Display Data -> entry 'Default root access handler = AS Java, if not check the note 1752309 and make the entry.
After the change restart the system issue will disappear.

Current version of LM-Service deployed on our SolMan is 1000.7.10.8.0.20130129161000
I guess it does not required a patch update. Let me know your thoughts.
Do you mean that we should go to version 1000.7.10.8.5.xxxxxxxxxxxxxx, i.e. from patch level 0 to patch level 5 ?

The issue is now resolved.
Would like to sum-up a few conditions of this issue & the steps I performed for anyone facing the same issue:
Impacts:
Unable to open Agent Administration
Unable to open NWA or User Admin
SOAP Error in Managed Configuration Step 4. Assign Diagnostics Agent
Seemed like no Java link was responding except SM_WORKCENTER.
Steps for resolution:
Applied LM-Service patch 5 for version SP08 as per SAP Note# 1483508
Transaction SMICM: Goto -> HTTP Plug-in -> Application Server -> Display
Verified parameters as per SAP Note# 1752309
Verified profile parameters icm/HTTP/j2ee_0 & system/type as per SAP Note# 1582842
Took a restart of the SAP application server & voila!

Attached are the dev_icm logs.
File extension has been changed from .zip to .txt, as SCN does not allow .zip files to be uploaded.
Kindly rename dev_icm (2).txt to dev_icm (2).zip & extract the log file.
The entire log was huge & I remember performing managed system config without any errors in the beginning of December.
Thus attaching the logs for the month of December only.

If you say that it was working earlier then parameters are file but might be that you might have to go in SOAMANGER and activate service.
Still not ok then please post the dev_icm logs.
