My requirement :

Price should be un-editable in return sales order created with reference to sales invoice and  quantity should be editable.

Condition update button when used should not alter the price in return sales order .

This can be done by using the configuration Icon in sales order level--Go to administrator---Pl keep the Amount column KOMV-KBETR in Invisible state--Try this---Pl see the screen shot...

If you want it in Item--Condition screen --try with V/06--Fields --Check amount/percentage

My requirement is per unit price should not be editable in return sales order. It is should always be the same as the sales invoice which is referenced.

User might have sold 10 qty of x material for price per unit Rs.100.

Invoice value : 10 * 100 = 1000 + taxes

customer returns 5 qty due to some quality issue .Then return sales order will be created with reference to sales invoice of 10 qty. then the user will edit the quantity in return sales order to 5,but unit price should remain as 100 and should not allow to be changed even using condition update.

New so : 5 * 100 = 500 + taxes

Hi Prabhakar,

You should maintain price type 'D' in your copy control settings. Further, you can create a screen variant in SHD0 wherein you can disable (make it invisible) the "Update Price" button and assign the variant to the return document type in VOV8.

Hope this helps.

Your explanation is illogical.  When you want to change the quantity why not the value which should also change ?   This is a wrong approach.
