Hi All,
I am having Sybase - 15.0 ASE database as back-end for MII 14.0 - both are on same system.
JConnect - 7.0
JDK - 1.6
I am following these scenario for establishing connection as below:-
Section: http://<host>:50000/XMII/Menu.jsp -> System Resources -> JDBC Drivers section
I uploaded jconn4.jar JDBC driver of jConnect(Sybase Connector). After deploying I have created a server named like SYBDB using IDBC connector.
Section: http://<host>:50000/XMII/Menu.jsp -> Data Services -> Data Servers
JDBCDriver: com.sybase.jdbc4.jdbc.SybDriver
ServerURL : jdbc:sybase:Tds:<db_host>:<db_port>?database=<db_name>
UserName: <user_name>
Password: <password>
Validate Query: SELECT count(*) FROM dbo.sysobjects
After all configured, having error:-
Log Records Details:
Unable to get a connection from the pool
[EXCEPTION]
java.sql.SQLException: JZ00L: Login failed. Examine the SQLWarnings chained to this exception for the reason(s).

at com.sybase.jdbc4.jdbc.SybDriver.connect(SybDriver.java:233)
Please suggest me how to build successful connection with sybase.
Hi All,
Thanks for your support !! Now problem is resolved.

Hi All,
I have applied the following parameter for connecting sybase.
JDBCDriver: com.sybase.jdbc4.jdbc.SybDriver
ServerURL : jdbc:sybase:Tds:<db_ip>:<db_port>/<db_name>
UserName: <user_name>
Password: <password>
Validate Query: SELECT count(*) FROM dbo.sysobjects
Problem: We have removed network authentication.
Solution: Please go through with SAP Note 1942379
Regards,
Nitin
Hi Nitin,
I have faced similar issues. Though not sure, I guess sybase expects user login and password to be encrypted and SAP MII performs a basic authentication.
I would suggest that you use the portal connector instead of uploading the drivers on MII and connecting from there.
Hope this helps

Hi Nitin,
Is it deployed JDBC drive showing green in color.
And try to pass below way and cross check User ID and Password (i.e. it should be Sybase Admin Credentials)
User name: User
Passwrd: Pass
JDBC Driver: net.sybase.jtds.jdbc.Driver
Server URL: jdbc:jtds:sybase://<IP Address>:<Port>/<Server Name>
Validation query: SELECT * FROM DUAL
Check port number of Sybase DB. And at last try with deploying JDBC 4.0 driver
