Host agent connection error in SP10

Hi All,

I am facing an error in ths SAP host agent.

we have upgraded our solution manager system to SP 10.

As the the agentinstallation strategy we have updated our host agent to the latest patch.

the agent version is 720 and patch level is 173.

the trsuted connection step is aldo done.

Cannot establish connection to SAP Host agent webservice.
(Cannot retrieve Diagnostics agent OS user, file not found
:/usr/sap/DAA/SMDA97/SMDAgent/configuration/installationinfo.properties)

com.sap.smdagent.plugins.connectors.webservice.SAPHostAgentUserConfigurationException:
Cannot establish connection to SAP Host agent webservice. (Cannot retrieve
Diagnostics agent OS user, file not found
:/usr/sap/DAA/SMDA97/SMDAgent/configuration/installationinfo.properties)

Stuck at this point.

Please check the below note.

1935653 - Error "A timeout occured during the execution of the OS Command Console" when

performing a Managed System Configuration - Solution Manager 7.1

Symptom:
You install a Diagnostics Agent with a 70SWPM installer, and you face one of the following issues:

• Error: "A timeout occured during the execution of the OS Command Console" when performing the Managed System Configuration
• Error: "Cannot establish connection to SAP Host agent webservice. (Cannot retrieve Diagnostics agent OS user, file not found ...:<DRIVE>:\usr\sap\DAA\SMDA97\SMDAgent\configuration\installationinfo.properties)" in the SMDAgent log
• Outside discovery not working
• There is no installationinfo.properties file in the path \usr\sap\DAA\SMDA97\SMDAgent\configuration\

Fix Information:
Fixed with Software Provisioning Manager 1.0 SP4 Patch-Level 02.

make  multithreaded, Unicode, 64 bit, optimized

profile /usr/sap/DAA/SYS/profile/DAA_SMDA97_eccdev

we hva not installed SWPM.

trouble shooting guide is also analysed. but could not overcome the issue.

Hi,

we hva not installed SWPM.

How was DAA installed on the host.

Was it installed when you installed with the sap system or you used sapinst to install it.

SWPM is nothing but new installed of sapinst.

I would suggest you to un-install this DAA agent and reinstall using SWPM patch mentioned above.

It will not take long to do that.

The host agent problem is resolved by the re installation.

I got the host agent details. and the installation info.properties is now available.

hi,

The below is known error

:/usr/sap/DAA/SMDA97/SMDAgent/configuration/installationinfo.properties)

it was due to version mismatch between sap host agent and your smd agent

Check the sap note  1365123 - Installation of Diagnostics Agents, as per the note your host agent should be with the version of SP 7.20 PATCH 147, you have sp 173 host agent, try with updating your smd agent with latest releases by 7.3.
