Visual Composer error

Former Member

Dear All,

When we try to access the VC in our EP 7 server using the URL http://<hostname>:5<>/VC we get a error message

"Server Error:Visual Composer services not found Contact your administrator "

on clicking the OK button we get

"This product requires MSXML Parser v4.0"

But on our Windows Server MSXML v4.0 SP2 Parser and SDK is already installed.

The error is coming in our Windows Server but in linux server its fine.

Please advice

Hi,

Adding to what Benjamin has said, MSXML Parser is very much required on client side also.

Dear All,

I restarted the vc services as mentioned above installed the xml parser in my computer, but the error remains the same.

HI Mazdul,

you need on your client the MSXML Parser 4, Adobe SVGViewer 3 and the latest flash plugin.

If you have further errors please provide us with the logfile.

Hi Mazdul,

I think the msxml-parser has to be installed on client side.

You should also go to http://<hostname>:5/nwa and make sure all vc services are running. Maybe that is the problem?

Dear Benni,

Thanks a lot for the reply. The msxml-parser that i mentioned has been installed on the server side. In nwa how can i confirm if the vc services are running or not ?

Dear Mazdul,

to my knowledge, it is necessary to install the msxml-parser on client side, too.

You can check if the services are running in Portal, sorry for mixing that up. Log on in portal --> systemadministration --> systemkonfiguration --> service konfiguration --> browse: Applications

Look for services like com.sap.visualcomposer.... or com.sap.portal.guimachine

right click on the folder, click "manage" (or similar); (re)start the service if necessary.

I am not sure whether it is a solution to your problem, it's just a guess.

Best Regards, Benni
