Hello,
I want to install the Java SPS 4 (NW 7.3) on a Java instance (NW 7.3 SPS 0).
I have generated the XML file (with MOPZ) and downloaded the files in "..\EPS\in" folder.
The problem is that SUM is giving me the following error at the step "Show validation result":
"Validation of deployment queue completed with error: sap.com/SAP KERNEL UNICODE WINDOWS_X86_64: Kernel with support package level SAP KERNEL UNICODE WINDOWS_X86_64 and version 7.20.100.0 that is located in E:\usr\sap\trans\EPS\in is invalid. You can find more information in the files E:\usr\sap\JWQ\SUM\sdt\log\SUM\SHOW-VALIDATION-RESULT_10.LOG"
The log "SHOW-VALIDATION-RESULT_10.LOG" shows:

Please help.
Thanks,
Hello
I have generated the XML file (with MOPZ) and downloaded the files in "..\EPS\in" folder.
You should consider using a different drive for SUM and also for the downloaded files.
Putting the downloads for the upgrde would be better kept in a separate directory rather than keeping them under the "..\EPS\in" folder.
Regarding multiple kernel archive files in the "..\EPS\in" folder, check the stack file which are the kernel files select during the stack file creation.
Remove all the kernel archive files except the ones mentioned in the stack.xml file.
Repeat the phase in SUM.

Hi,
If you see the error looks .
E:\usr\sap\trans\EPS\in\SAPEXE_100-20006748.SAR, E:\usr\sap\trans\EPS\in\SAPEXEDB_100-20006747.SAR, E:\usr\sap\trans\EPS\in\SAPEXEDB_100-10007271.SAR, E:\usr\sap\trans\EPS\in\SAPEXE_100-10007272.SAR
SUM tool is able to find the different kernel in there.
Have you download the the files correctly . Did you select multiple files for the kernel while generating the stack file.
SAPEXE_100-10007272.SAR Kernel Part I (for Basis 720/702)
Support Package SAP KERNEL 7.20 64-BIT UNICODE Windows on x64 64bit #Database independe
SAPEXE_100-20006748.SAR Kernel Part I
Support Package SAP KERNEL 7.20 EXT 64-BIT UC Windows on x64 64bit #Database independe
One is EXT and other one is normal kernel.
SO chose one while generating the file.
If you have selected one then remove the other one.
Socond thing try to use different directory to keep the patches as SUM tool will try to uncar or copy the patch in there.
Thanks
