As menitioned by Bernhard, you can use VA05 / VA05N and also SE16N (using tables VBAK - VBAP with some excel work - V-lookup for multiple materials) to know which are the order types used.

Not sure to understand your question, but I will give it a shot: Try VA05 - it will give you the sales orders containing a given material.
