Packing in Handling unit

Hi all,

Kindly let me know as to how i can pack a delivery in an already existing handling unit in T-code HUPAST.

Customer gives an order in the morning for which delivery created and material packed in a Handling unit.

Now after 4-5 hrs, he again places an order for which another delivery is created. now since the first handling unit created still has some space left, we want to pack the 2nd delivery in the first handling unit. How can we do this?

Hi ! Aribis,

You can use the shipment functionality for this.

Use t.code VT01N, create a shipment add both the deliveries in the shipment and now you can pack both deliveries in one HU.

Hi Pathik,

That sure is a good way. I tried it out but got the following error.

"Non-assigned volume is not sufficient for repacking the entire item"

i checked the volume of the handling unit and also the volumes of the delivery and the 2nd delivery can fit inside.

what does it mean by "non-assigned"?

Hi Aribis,

Why you want to use HUPAST ?

Deassign the Handling unit from the delivery save the delivery..

Manually assign the same in the other delivery (check the volumes)..

Have you checked the total wts in delivery ..

Pls confirm if it works..
