Offline approval mail: In outlook 2007 the approve/reject buttons missing

Hi Experts,

We are having SRM 7 Ehp 2 service package 006.

We are using the report /SAPSRM/OFFLINEAPPROVALSEND to send mails to the approver. And displayed in outlook 2007, but the two pushbuttons for offline approval are missing & only the text of the pushbutton are appearing (Approve by e- mail / Reject by e-mail).

When I open the same mail in gmail (Internet Explorer 😎 the two pushbuttons are shown. But no effect when clicking on the pushbuttons.

Thanks,

RK

Hi Ravindra,

Please try executing the program "/SAPSRM/OFFLINEAPPROVALSEND" by selecting the radio button "Links" under the "Decission Forms". After this approve/reject buttons would still not be available but an auto mail would be generated (They would work) when "Approve by e- mail / Reject by e-mail" are pressed.

Best regards,

Raghavendra.

Hello,

Actually there is a limitation in MsOutlook to interprete the buttons generated by offline approval.
This is explained in note 1682407 (already available in your system).
Then, the solution for this case would be to send the links instead of buttons or use the option to "view in browser", as you are doing.

However, after pressing the approve or reject buttons, technical text should be displayed.

In order to solve this, please apply note 1930384 and retest the issue by generating a new approval mail.

Regards,

Ricardo
