Dear SCN,

Under our blogs, Why "Rating" is enabled for self? What sense it makes? We should get ratings from others but not by self, right?

Suman

I reported that issue in the moderator forum a few weeks ago and think I can share what Laure Cetin answered:

  • We just found out that this is Jive expected behavior to be able to rate your own content (without giving yourself the points though). I don't think this is something we want and am checking if we can change this behavior.

Thanks Jürgen L !!

I feel it has to be removed as it doesn't make any sense.

Hi, Great Finding I would say. I tried it with one of my content and now I cannot de rate it. So if anyone see that thread of mine, it will be seen as one rating 'exceptional'. This should not be allowed for OP in any way.

I support you

Yes, it's not just blogs, but everywhere (discussions etc). I didn't even see that before.

But since it's already an Laure's list, I hope this "feature" will be removed soon.

I think its because your opinion is also counted to overall rating..

But you don't get any points or badge (Increase rating) for that.

Its just to show your opinion.

It is just calculating on overall rating. Nothing else.

Who will rate their content below average or Average, if we are posting something then we gave our best in that and that means for us, our content is 5* (exceptional ).

Hi Dev,

It's not about points, What I am talking. I completely agree with Chandra Shekhar Agarwal. Obviously people rate it as Exceptional by self. I am aware points doesn't add.

I feel it is not required.
