what are the Effects if i mass change AAGM and Bacth management uncheck in MM01

Hi ,

I would like to understand what are all precautions or actions needs to be taken before updating the material master of the below fields, for 50 materials in Production.

1. Un check batch management field in MM01

2. Account assignment group of Materials. in MM01

Already two PO's and two OTC cycles are completed so far in Production.

Since my MM colleague is not available i would like to do this activity.

Sorry i mentioned 50 materials. Actually around 200 materials.

Since you are going to change only the master data, already there would be some transactional data like open sale order / purchase orders where these changes wont have any impact.  So you need to check whether those fields in transactional data are editable.  If editable, you can change; else, you have to foreclose those open orders / purchase orders and create a new one.

To activate/Deactivate Batch in material master you need to follow certain pre-requisites which is mentioned in below mentioned document

As per my knowledge , Account Assignment Group is helpful to post the accounting document at the time of billing document creation otherwise there is no impact if you don't use in VKOA settings level or any reporting point of view.
