Hi All,
we have shipment creation idoc coming from SAP TM. it creates shipment document in ECC. in this creation idoc, the stage information is contained in E1EDT44 segment. E1EDT44 001 segment has shipping point=A (vstel field ) and E1EDT44 002 segment has ship to party=B (KUNNR field ).
so the shipment document is created with one stage where departure point and plant =A (under departure point tab ) and under destination tab , we have destination point/plant =B. we are also receiving stage shiiping type=3
Subsequently we are receiving a change idoc (with CHA qualifier ). in this change idoc we only have a new forwarding agent but the same stage data and same stage shiiping type as above. But this change idoc is getting failed and the status message of idoc in error shows the following errors .
1) field destination point cannot be changed (old value: "" new value= B )
2) field shiiping point deparure cannot be changed (old value : "" new value =A ).
3) Shipping type: stage cannot be changed (old value :""new value=3 )
Clearly the system is trying to change the values to the same values which are already there in idoc i,.e A and B and the idoc is in error.
Has someone faced such issues ?
regards
Pamela
Hi Pamela
Have you check the notes below?
1803749 - Shipments are not send to ERP for execution
1862532 - ERP TM: stage times and loading times are filled wrong

Hello Eduardo,
shipments are created in ECC with idocs from PI (on the basis of messages from TM).
we do not have issue with stage times. But the issues is with updation of stage depature/destination point. in the change idoc, the stage data is not changed but still in ECC, the system is trying to update the stage data and hence idoc failing.
we have stage idoc segment in idoc. But at the same time, the route in ECC also been configured for determining departure and detsination point ?
is this the reason for change idoc failing.
regards
Pamela
Hello Pamela,
The creation IDOC was created with successfully?
What kind of change was performed after the creation and before the changed IDOC?

Hello Marcelo,
yes the creation idoc created the shipment document successfully. no change was performed in shipment document before the shipment change idoc came.
The shipment change idoc contains a new forwarding agent. Also the stage data is in E1EDK13 segment. this segment is coming into ECC with stage data from TM.
But i have also noted that the stages are aslo determined from route in ECC. Is this could be the reason that shipment change idoc (not shipment create )idoc fails ?

Hello Marcelo,
1 )what is meant by, " stages should not be adopted ".
2) what is meant by, "no leg determination "
3)we have "stages not be adopted " in shipment type config. Still i can see that stages are determined from route. This i verifed by creating shipment manually. I did not enter route and went to stage tab. there was no stages. when i entered route and then saw the stage tab, i can then see the stages determined
4) there is shipping type in shipment document at header level. there is also shipping type at item level at the stage level. What is the difference. How can the shippinng type can be different at header and item (stage) level. for eg , if shipment is by truck(shippign type ), then shipping type will be truck at item level too since the whole shipment will go by truck ?
regards
Pamela
Hello Pamela,
I was talking about these two shipment type options:
- Adopt route -> do not adopt stages;
- Determine legs - > no legs to be determined.
About the shipping type question, its more LES-TRA than TM. The standard mapping FO->shipment document has a from to relationship between Transportation Mode(TM) and Shipping Type(ERP) what means one shipping type per shipment document. But in ERP you can have stages for each transportation mode.
Regards, Marcelo
