Enhancement package upgrade

Dear all,

We are planning to upgrade the SAP ERP system Enhancement Package6 in  ECC6.0 ERP system.

Source ERP: ECC6.0

Target verions: ECC EHP6

1) Is there any impact of  other environments[BI, PI, & Solman] depend on level of applied EHP6 Version in ERP system.?

2) Is there any impact in design of connection with other SAP system like     Connecitivity to the SAP solution Manager sytem ,Centralized user management, PI system?

3) Is it necessary to upgrade the (ST/PI, API) in Solution manager ?

You can run the Analyzer (CIA - Change Impact Analzyer) in Solution manager. Yes there will be impacts because there are object additions and changes. We just did a major upgrade, (19 upgrades behind! ) across IS-U, CRM, BI, PI and NWJ and in each of these we had to make adjustments. Use Solman, it will save you lots of tears.

1. Grenerate Stack XML for target level. The Upgrade Dependency Analyzer (UDA) can support you in planning your next upgrade.

2. No impact in connecitivity to the SAP solution Manager sytem ,Centralized user management, PI system.

3.  Keep your ST-A/PI or St-PI to latest level

OK we will update the lastest ST-A/PI or St-PI version during EHP6 upgrade.

My question is, because of EHP6 upgrade only ERP system.

1) Do we have to upgrade [ST-A/PI or ST-PI] in Solution manager or not?.

Hello,

1) Please refer to SAP note 1388258 - Version Interoperability within the SAP Business Suite

2) No, there is no difference in design of connectivity.

3) It is always recommended to upgrade ST-A/PI or St-PI to latest level.

Thank you for your reply.

Here we have the following SAP Systems in our landscape.

1)Solution Manager server [ EWA, SM,BPM and CUA with all below SAP servers]

2) ERP system 6.0

3) BI system 3.5

4) PI 7.0. We are planning to upgrade only ERP system 6.0 to EHP6.

1)In this case, after EHP6 upgrade, Is there is any impact of solution manger or

2) Is it mandatory to update Solution Manager [ST-PI and ST-A/PI] version?.
