Hello All,
I was able to find the details of multi SID set up ( multiple SAP systmes on one MSCS) on windows 2008 R2 failover cluster ( with two nodes)
Is there any similar document for windows server 2012? Are there any improvements with failover cluster in win server 2012 ?
Regards
Arun
Hi Arun
if an SAP product is supported in win 2012, it is automatically included in installation guide.
Therefore first check product availability matrix: http://service.sap.com/pam for a specific SAP product.
Most of the SAP products are since 1 year supported on Windows 2012
In every installation guide (check on http://service.sap.com/instguides) there is part called “High Availability with Microsoft Failover Clustering” part. Inside there is a sub-chapter called “Multiple SAP Systems in one (or multiple) Microsoft Failover Cluster” which covers your question.
In short – SAP installations on Microsoft Failover Cluster are supported in a SAME way on both
Windows 2008 (R2) and Windows 2012. You do not need any special preparations.
If there would be anything different on some specific Windows version, it would
be specifically stated in the installation guides. As it is not stated, then
the procedure is the same on both OS Version
I hope this helps
best regards
Goran

Hi Arun
Yes, you can install multiple SID on one MSCS environment, for this you may not find the any documents in detail you have refer the SAP installation guide. we have implemented in windows 2008 server with MS MSql 2008 R2 server.(PI & EP systems dual stack in one MSCS system)
Kindly refer the Installation guide https://websmp201.sap-ag.de/instguides - and some of the links
