With/Without PI to integrate KARDEX - Automatic Storage System (WM) - Adv/Dis adv

Just wondering if anybody could give me some tips about SAP integration with Kardex 's WM Powerpick software.

Which is best way to integrate with PI or directly with Kardex via IDoc.

Hi Uday,

I would go for an integration with SAP PI. Reason mainly is the monitoring and alerting aspect.

How can you achieve that without SAP PI? Would be hard, I guess.

Also, you can gradually use SAP PI more and more into your organisation, being the central integration hub or service bus.

Thanks for your reply.

We can have direct RFC call or IDoc & still it can be monitored but yes not as central hub.

Is there any other advantages do we have  ?

Hi Uday,

If you use or will use SAP PI for other purposes, please do.

If not, perhaps it's better to stick with direct communication without using SAP PI.

SAP PI offers a lot of (performance) advantages and integration possibilities. SCN is full of it
