MIN - MAX VMI - Replenishment Model

Dear Experts,

As per the configuration given in SAP Application guide for SNC. We have tried to set MIN-MAX model for generating replenishment but the proposed order is not getting calculated as per this model.

Even after maintaining the minimum and maximum stock levels, the model is considering only the minimum stock level(Safety stock) as the target stock whenever the projected stocks is lesser than the minimum stock level. Instead as per the MIN-MAX model whenever the projected stocks lies below the minimum stock level than the projected stock qty is filled up to the target stock qty(Maximum stock level).

The proposed order is getting calculated as safety stocks - Total projected stocks

Suggest us is there any config missing. Waiting for your reply.

Hi Vasanth,

I hope this is the SMI scenario.

Yes, you are correct that, as per the standard scenario, the target stock level is the maximum stock level or is calculated based on minimum and maximum stock levels. The reorder point is defined in the master data or is calculated based on minimum and maximum stock levels. When the projected stock is lower than the reorder point, replenishment planning creates a planned receipt to bring the projected stock back to the target level.

In your scenario, what is the  Target Threshold (%) field value maintained ?

I hope you have maintained is either 100% or kept it blank (the default is 100).
