Issue applying user group policies to Samsung S4

Hi Team

After successfully enrolling a Samsung S4, user does not get policies associated with the User Group.  They get the basic android check-in Policy, but do not get any other policies.

Could you please help me out on this...

Hi,

Please provide more details.

You mean to say you had created Group and policy for eg. password and enroll the device the password policy not prompt on device.

It can be for multiple reason

In that case please confirm below .

1. The group and policy link

2. GCM id reflect on device ( Afaria client setting ).

3. port 5228 open

Thank you for your quick response..

There are multiple device in Samsung already configured, Eg, S3, Motrolla etc. Now facing issue in S4 Device.

They get the basic android check-in Policy, but do not get any other policies.

I have Crossed checked with the points which is mentioned by you, everything is fine.

Hi Chetan,

The email policy won’t apply, active sync and getting an error as well.

Basically can’t enroll  Samsung S4 devices.

Using 4.3 Jelly Bean OS.

Actually the issue with Installating Exchange Settings in the device.

Hi,

For exchange setting the requirement is to Set the variable for ( Notfication, email username , email password) is required at the time of enrollment code.

HI Chetan,

Exchange Settings are set in Admin Console, All other devices such as IOS, and in Android S3, S2 can able to Enroll, only S4 device is not getting enroll (Unable to get Policies into the device.)

Configuration Settings:

Policy: Samsung S4 Exchange

State: Published

Note: mail.xyz.com

Type: Configuration:

Priority: 50

Under Configuration settings--> Samsung--> Exchange Account policy.

Identifier, Active Sync Host, Domain, Email Address, User, Password, Account Name, Accept all Certificates.. soon.....

All settings are updated.

Can you please advice me on this.
