Hi,

If you have already done with Assortment and Listing , then you should Extend the article which you are trying to procure in that particular site.

Goto MM42 , provide the details such as pur org, vendor, DC and store

Goto Purchasing view , press Validity Area tab and provide the site where you gonna procure.

Goto Sales view , press Validity Area and provide those details. save it ..

Then try to create the PO it will work .

Hi Jove,

This error is coming as the article is not fully maintained for a given site. Please check the listing of this article to this site.

The best approach to check the article segments for a site is to go to transaction MM42. Provide everything on the main screen and select all the views. Press enter and navigate to all views by pressing Enter key. If in any of the views, something is missing it will give a message and error which you can correct.

This should fix your issue.

Dear Jove,

You need to create an assortment in Tcode WSOA1, in  assortment user tab you need to maintain the customer. Then List the article to the assortment in Tcode WSP4(listing entries need to be maintained in the MM41/MM42 listing Tab). Then assign assortment to the site Tcode : WLWBN.

Dear Bilal,

To purchase / sell an article in retail, you need to first list that article for the store with which you want to work with (To create PO /SO)

Goto - Txn WSL11 , enter your art number and site used in the PO. Execute .

a. Article is listed with you see a line item with valid dates .In this case if you are still not able to create a PO you need to follow what Amit mentioned below.

b. If you do not see a line item ,then you need to list the article for the site.

There are main strategies to list , but the easy way is to use Txn WSM3 - key in your site number into the assortment field and article in the article field and 02 as list condition.execute .

Let know if you have any other query.

Dear Jove,

While creating a PO, the system checks for the existence of the respective article in the site for the validity period for which you are creating the PO. Now this is a requirement as POs are to be created for the relevant articles and not for any article that exists in the master data table (MARA).

Now the extension of the relevant article has to happen to several tables such as MARC, WLK1...etc so that PO can be created successfully.

For this you need to List the article. The listing procedure can be defined in order to suit the Organization's operations. But best practice states that listing is to be done on Assortments and Article combinations for existing Merchandise Category and Selling price.

Hence create an Assortment in WSOA1 for the site or sites for from where you intend to procure/trade this article and then attach the Merchandise Category of this article into the assortment if at all it is not listed. Maintain the selling price after having maintained the cost price via info record.

Once this is done then your listing should happen. The reference articles maintained for the Merchandise Categories will then supply sufficient data for extension of this article(s) to the relevant tables.

This makes the article(s) error free to be created in a PO.
