Error when setup Afaria 7 Sp4

Hi everyone!

     I have downloaded Afaria SP3 and Afaria 7 SP4 from site of Sap

     1. When setup Afaria 7 sp3 with key( get from site of sap)

          - All component is available( below sreenshot)

    

2 When setup Afaria 7 Sp4 with same key

     Component( Instal Afaria API service and Administrator disable) ( bellow sreenshot)

     I don't understand why Install Afaria Api service...is disable.Can anyone explain for me? And How to enable this component? Thanks.

Hi,

Just for clear understanding , did you install afaria 7 any version setup file on the same system or its fresh system for installation.

Also check the checker file to check the prerequiste

Before i have setupped afaria 7, but i have removed all component(Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features ). What do I do?

Check for IIS Virtual directory @ in IIS for Afaria admin .

Remove the registry setting for afaria

Reboot the server

Hi,

Remove the IIS role completely from the server and re install again.

Start with fresh installation , make sure to delete all the existing folder related to afaria from server

Open IIS and check for the virtual directory for Afaria if still exist there you need to delete that

Hi!

  Afaria 7 SP4 is full version? if only the installation it? because amount of Afaria 7 SP4 only is 300 mb. While amount of Afaria 7 is 800 mb? Before setup Afaria 7 sp4, have you to setup Afaria 7?

Upgrade to Afaria 7 SP4 is supported from Afaria 7 SP2 and Afaria 7 SP3

I have a question. I setup Afaria through steps following:

Step 1 :

- Installation Afaria 7 SP3

Step 2 :

- Update Afaria 7 SP4( but when component Install API afaria service and Administratro is disable such as above screenshot) I don't know why. Can you help me? Thanks.

I believe the Admin virtual directory from iis is not deleted properly before .

Please check any registry setting if it exist.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\AfariaAPI

Delete the entry close the setup file program and start again.

If possible restart the server

Make sure to take all necessary step for registry backup

Hi,

Afaria 7sp4 need to upgrade from the Afaria7sp3 or Afariasp2.

Than you can proceed for afaria7sp4

Hi Guys,
I also think that their is probability of the issue being that you need to apply all the hot fixes of SP3 before upgrade to SP4. Then you can upgrade to SP4 and their should be no error.

In case I am wrong guys please correct me..

I don't think so reason the upgrade version Afaria7SP4 will fix all the hot fix issue.
