Hi,
I am working on Lumira (Desktop) and i want to see the log file that Lumira generates on my desktop and i hope that it will contain information about the SQL queries it fires.
Is it possible to view it?
Does Lumira generate any log files?
Basically i am using LIVE connection with HANA views and i want to analyse the SQL queries that are fired by Lumira to retrieve the results.
Any inputs would be helpful.
Best regards,
Sidharth
Hi Sidharth,
Try these KB Articles for LUMIRA tracing:-
1782007-SAP Lumira desktop 1.0: How to trace the application using native BO_Trace.ini logs
1905072-How to enable Predictive Analysis/Visual Intelligence/Lumira trace?
To check the query you can directly trace Index Server at HANA side.
Thanks,
Vivek

Hi,
you need to use the Profiler in the debugger. 1782010
- SAP Visual Intelligence 1.0: How to analyze VI processing problems using the
native Debugger... - there's an SQL specific part there.
but actually yes, tracing on the hana server is arguably better.

Hi ,
I managed to get the queries from HANA.
That seems to be the best approach for getting hold of the generated SQL.
I wish Lumira comes up with better in built functionalities to view the queries.
I cannot find any information about the time taken for the rendering of my charts either.
Is there a way to measure accurately the time taken for rendering of the charts in Lumira?
Thanks,

Hi Henry,
Thanks for your reply.
I do not want to use a seperate tool to measure my performance (ex: Introscope).
In the other tools available in the same space ,for example Tableau, we have an inbuilt functionality in the tool that gives us all the performance related information
Apart from that,
I am not able to use the debugging option in my Lumira dasktop.

I have installed the free version of Lumira (personal edition) which is currently available over the web.
Do i need to have the standard edition in order to use the debugger?
