Hola Guys,
I have some issues with the installation of the last HANA DB 1.00 SP7 (Branch: NEWDB100)
We need to add this release in our SelfService Cloud Solutions...
I tried the installation manually before to add in our Automation Solutions but always errors...
Setup from production Share: NewDB100 Folder & Weekstone
The setup fails at the end with the following error :
I tried with hdbinst/hdbsetup option or hdblcmgui, same issues
The file exist in the folder and i can open it (no errors)
If we see the trace file, we have:
or
I have already this error with the Weekstone same release...
We didn't have a problem with the others Builds (...66,67,68,69)
Do you have an idea?
May be a major changment with he build 70, No?
Is it possible to bypass this Delivery Unit in the hdb option?
Thanks for your Help
Best Regards,
Rico
Is it possible to bypass this Delivery Unit in the hdb option?
It should be possible to bypass the DU. Refer to the pass_through_help option --hdbinst_server_import_content[=off] in the Troubleshooting section (6.3) of the SAP HANA Server Installation Guide

Good Afternoon Eric and Stephanie-
The DB traces on the install indicate that there is something wrong with the HANA_ADMIN delivery unit. What is the recommendation for the interim? Should I load in a release 69 delivery unit?
Thank you. -js
PS: For those led here by a google search on HANA_ADMIN.tgz, the method for using LCM pass through to the underlying installers is:
./hdblcmgui --action=install --pass_through_help --hdbinst_server_import_content=off
--action is required for all pass throughs.
--action=[install|update] is required for all installation or update tasks and for listing action-specific help.
--pass_through_help -h or --pass_through_help --help show parameter options that are hidden in the standard installation or update inline help menu. These parameters are only used to display the help and aren't required when performing the actual installation or update.
Typically, to enable a workaround for hdblcm(gui), do the following:
1. List the available hidden parameters to see if a workaround is available.
./hdblcm --action=install --pass_through_help -h
or
./hdblcm --action=update --pass_through_help -h
2. If a workaround parameter is available, install or update with the workaround parameter. (In this case, using the hdbinst_server_import_content parameter)
./hdblcm --action=install --hdbinst_server_import_content=off
or
./hdblcmgui --action=install --hdbinst_server_import_content=off
Hello Stephanie-
Attempting to do HANA DB migrations, or NetWeaver installations are running into the bad HANA_ADMIN delivery unit. Do you have any response to my previous question?
"The DB traces on the install indicate that there is something wrong with the HANA_ADMIN delivery unit. What is the recommendation for the interim? Should I load in a release 69 delivery unit?"
Thank you very much. -js
hello irick,
there is wrong in Revision 70(SPS7) . I was also installing revision 70 in HANA box but it unable to import delivery unit .
Better load revision 69 and then upgrade it to 70.
. The statistics server has not initialized all tables when the delivery unit is installed.
It is fixed with weekstone 49. If you need the official rev 70 you
could try the intallation again and hope that it does not
occur. If this does not work you could also try to install first rev 69
and then do an upgrade. This should also avoid the error.
Regards,
Dipak
Just for info, I've found note http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1795885
This says that during the install/upgrade of HANA revs 45+, if you get errors importing delivery units, you can just ignore them if you don't use XS (Application Services).
