Production thru PS system

Hi All

Our company is project base Industry. For Every Product, fresh BOM is prepared. We use CS71 for entering WBS BOM and transfer the material to Network by using CN33. Here Purchase requisitions are created for all the raw materials. After this we are doing CO10 for creation of Production order, after confirmation we get finished goods created on WBS element. Plz tell me

1. Whether this process is correct, or there is any other alternative which may be better.

2. some times we procure raw material for stock purpose later on we allocate the same to WBS, is there any way where by doing CN33 system can check free stock and free stock can be allocated to project.

3. Is there any method where delivery can be done thru project system, right now we are doing the same thru VL01N of SD module.

Hi Manish,

• Apart from the process you are following, there are few other ways

Option 1: Explode the BOM in project and run project MRP in Txn MD51.Planned orders will be created from MRP further converted to PO and Production order. PO-GR-IR, inventory updates against the project.

Option 2 : Assign only header material in the project and execute project MRP in Txn MD51. Create a Production Order and BOM related further activities ( like procurement, GR from plant stock) will be taken care by production plant. finally FG will be moved to project stock.

• CN33 doesn't have option.

• yes, delivery can be done thru txn CNS0 from project.

Hi Nag

I dont want to prefer MD51 because many times our BOM is changed after detailed engineering. Further same equipment with multiple BOM projectwise. So I prefer only WBS BOM. MD51 does not consider wbs bom but consider material bom cs02. Is there any methmethod where wbs bom can be considered in md51.
