SP12 shows Huge spool files in database

Hi All,

We recently applied the service pack onto our SAP system and saw that huge files are being created in the Spool for the background user. (>5000 pages)

Would anyone have an idea as to what the root cause for these huge spool files would being created for the background user?

I have attached screenshots of the consistency check for the SP12 transaction. I am a functional analyst at the client site and any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

I dont see an issue with the 5000 pages as the report would require 5000 page that is the reason system is creating it.

You can delete the data shown in SP12-Inconsistencies check.png.

It might be that sap has removed the restriction of spools greater than 2 gb and that is the reason you are seeing large spools.

1890546 - Spool requests larger than 2 GB

Check if you have this kernel in your system and that is the reason you have large spools now.
