Calendar object defaulting to today's date

Hi All, From the Portal IAC iview, integrated SICF service. But when the iview is accessed from Portal, the calendar object is not behaving same as in SAP. In Portal,  when user clicks on Calendar object -- the provision to select the data is not coming and it is getting defaulted to todays date. Ay idea how to get rid of this by doing some settings. Are portal stylesheets being used for this  IAC iview?

i.e does it render differently when called via the Portal v's directly when calling the IAC via transaction SICF?
