BEX, a long connection to the server BI

Hello,

I have a system: NW BI 701 (SAP kernel 133), OS - Windows x64

SP08 of components: SAP_BASIS, SAP_ABA, SAP_BW

Appl server is in domain.

On client computer:

SAP GUI 7.10
SAP GUI patch 21
Business Explorer patch 13

When I run the transaction RRMX in the system BI, I have a long time connection, more 1-2 minutes (waiting when excel is open)

If I removed the ip-address of DNS in the properties of the client's network configuration (TCP/IP), the time connection to server about 15 second (not 1-2 minutes).

How to solve the problem without removing the IP address of the DNS?

Hi,

First of all you are using gui version which is out of support. Please use SAP gui 7.3.

On client computer:

SAP GUI 7.10
SAP GUI patch 21
Business Explorer patch 13

What happen when you get the entry maintained in the host file. Does the application works fine then. How much time it takes when you run nslookup for the application on the desktop in command promt.

Please check which DNS is being looked up and if you have registered the server in the correct DNS.

Do you have multiple DNS in your network?

If all the above test shows that its DNS issue you need to get network team involved.
