Hello Azhar,

that's what I though in the first place, if you just copy and paste to the new location it should work.

You will have to update the new location path in SM19. Please read the discussion and standard SAP documentation carefully.

Thank you !

What kind of audit log are you talking about ? Please explain the problem scenario clearly.

- SAP Security Audit Logs

- DB2 audit logs

- Something else

You will have to copy the security audit logs into the new server disk and then update the location/path of the folder in SM19/SM20.

Read more about 'how to configure security audit loggging/SM19'.

Thank you !

Hello Azhar,

I assume you are running DB2 LUW and you have a valid back up.

You can either use command recover or manually call restore + rollforward to the end of logs.

Please check chapter 8.4 Database recovery of the DBA guide

Hello Azhar,

sorry I didn't realize you were talking about DB2 audit.  You probably can just copy the logs over to your new server. Also as far as I see in note 1474404, you don't really need to keep the logs once you get the needed information off them.

http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1474404

"

The DB2 audit facility generates, and allows you to maintain, an audit trail for

a series of predefined database events. The records that are generated from this

facility are kept in an audit log file. The analysis of these records can reveal

usage patterns that would identify system misuse by certain users or user

groups. Once such system misuse has been identified, you can take actions to

reduce or eliminate them.

"

I hope this helps,

Regards,

Javier
