Database error: [Data Federator Driver] [Server] ORA-03135

Hello everybody,

I am looking for a solution that is caused by Information Design Tool (IDT). it seems that the universe can't connect to the database after the migartion from BI4.0 to BI4.0.

I get the following error:

Database error: [Data Federator Driver] [Server] [Connector 'XXXXX'] The database has reported an Exception: ORA-03135: connection lost contact

Process ID: 0

Session ID: 215 Serial number: 3238

(SQLState: N/A, Vendor code: 3,135). (IES 10901) (WIS 10901)

What is the reason for the problem?

This could be a timeout issue - we are having a similar problem on xi 4.1 SP2 (migrated from xi 4.0 SP6). I am currently investigating to narrow down the possible cause.

This not a timeout issue, because I get this error immediately when I try to view the values of a table of the universe in IDT.

I get this error only if the connection has been published to the repository, but this works fine when I create a new local connection to the universe.
