BOM explosion in SAP VC

Hi,

This could be a very basic question, but I am stuck with this this for a while.

How does the system select the appropriate items from the super BOM based on my configuration?

Could someone please explain this briefly?

Thileepan Paulraj,

on every bOM position for item a object dependency is written of type "selection condition" which select this component if the characterstic mention in dependency have exact value mention in dependency.
