default portfolio in SAP PPM

can we default the portfolio for each user? As of now, this is a one time portal activity when the user logs in the first time... That we have only one portfolio, we would rather prefer to default it for all users... please advise...

I am not sure this will work, but try to update the user paramaters of the user profile with the following:

1. SET/GET paramater ID with value /RPM/PORTFOLIO

2. Paramater Value with the GUID of the active portfolio

Try and see if this will work then you can get authorisations to centrally apply this paramater and value

Hello Deepak, you can also use the report /RPM/SET_USER_PORTFOLIO to set the default portfolio for your users. SP08 needed to function properly.

Unfortunately, I do not see the /RPM/SET_USER_PORTFOLIO program/report.

We are on SP10.

Hello Deepak!

Unfortunately there is no report to set the default portfolio for all users, as far as I know. The "report" Johannes mentioned is no report, but a function module you can implement in a custom report.

It is the easiest way to fill the table SPERS_OBJ with portfolio guid as default portfolio.

The SET/GET methods for default portfolios also exist prior SP08 (for the sake of completeness).
