Relay for SUP / SMP and AFARIA

Former Member

Hi experts,

i am trying to install relay server for the SUP / SMP.As per the Relay server confuguration guide it is quite easy to confugure relay.

My question is, can we use same relay server for the SUP and Afaria? If we use common relay, then is there any port conflicts?

If its possible, please send any links or your suggestions. And want to know, what are the ports that might get conflicted by using common Relay Server.

Waiting your reply.

Regards,

Suhas

The possibilities are there, but there are suggestions not to use same relay server for both SUP and Afaria.

Hope the below discussions answers your question.

You are right Chetan, I misunderstand the question.

To support your answers I am adding this architecture taken from RS overview,

Hi,

Yes we can use the 1 relay server for both afaria and SUP , you just need to define the backend farm and backend server in relay server Rs.config file.

Normal port details will be

From relay server to public : 443 and 80 , you can use this port for both sup and afaria.

From Afaria server to relay server : 80 , 443 or if you had define the custom port than you need to open the same port

From SUP server to relay server : 5001 and 2480
