Hi Experts,
Do we have a tool that could produce details of all the dimensions being used in reports inside the Public folder of BI 4.0? The expected information is the universe name, name and details of objects used from the universe for each report.
Thanks and Regards
Sandeep Chandran
Hi Sandeep,
of course, Information Steward collects and links metadata information from differnt sources and keeps this in formation in his central repository for providing Data lineage and Impact Analysis in tabular or graphical representation. (E.g. directly within the BI Launchpad, users can right-click on their report and access the complete data lineage information to see where the data in the report is coming from).
In addition to that IS provides some nice pre-defined reports on top of the integrated metadata repository that can be used to document or share externally some of the metadata information as well.
If you want to create custom reports on top of the internal metadata repository, the IS User Guide explains in detail how to access the underlying tables and views in the repository.
