Batch jobs

Dear sd experts one small doubt plz let me know

I know how to create back ground jobs by using Jobwizord but in sm36 by using some option also like start condition-- step- job selection

so i want to know in which business process we will do it

There is no specific thumb rule that a particular business process should follow.  Almost all clients would be using all the tabs whatever you had indicated.

Start Condition - Here only, you specify at what time / intervals, that job should run

Step - Here only you give the program name, variant and user id

Job selection - If you know the Job name, you can specify here; else, specify the user name and execute.
