hello friends,

Please give me the steps to config outboudn idoc (out from R/3). just installed the 2004s.

what steps to do.

what i know

1) create port in xi

2) create rfc in xi to connect to R/3

How to create RFC in R/3 ( what connection i have to choose ABAP, LOGICAL etc.,)

I created port, i need RFC now.

and what info should enter in

receiver of status messge

You have to use transactions IDX1 and IDX2 inside SAP XI to configure the IDoc adapter.

i am writing file to a file. ( unix directory), then do i need to create logical system?

not mandatory ...u can also create a Business service in ID and make use of it....

refer to the wiki howto file-file guide. this shud help you enogh:

SDN > My Home > Exchange Infrastructure > ...Main > Step-by-Step Guides > FLAT FILE TO FLAT FILE

You have to do the following..

in R/3

SM59 RFC Destination

WE21Port Configuration

WE20 Partner Profiles

In XI

SM59 RFC Destination

IDX1 Port Configuration

IDX2 Metadata
