Hi Gurus,
We're using SAP Solman 7.1 SP10.
In LMDB screen I'm selecting the Logical Component with edit, And entering Business Partner number.
There is no problem when saving and Checking but after I pass the read only mod, I'm facing that the Business Partner area is empty and After I check it in Table "SMSY_LOG_COMP" I see that the KOMPZ area is empty.
Because of this problem I can't assign a logical comp. to a solution and can't create ewa.
Can you please help me for this issue?
Regards
Tutku
Hello Ilke,
SAP just provided the solution in this OSS note: 1954334.
SAP suggested us to implement OSS note 1954414 as well.
It worked for us (same situation, with SolMan 7.1SP10).
Hope it helps; please assign rewards if the solution is fine for you as well.
Best regards
Paolo Croene

Hi Paolo,
Thank you very much. I've resolved this issue with that notes.
But for my scenario there is one more point. For my message to SAP I've received an answer like below. Do you have any idea?
thanks
Dear customer,
I have analyzed your issue.
Unfortunately this is related to your usage of the
obsolete 'Customer Key' (KONZS key field) in SMSY.
This is not supported by SAP!
This will NOT work in the future with LMDB and other Solution Manager
applications!
For example the logical component Z_KALYON_BPC10
that you have created, does NOT have the KONZS field filled and is
therefore not visible with your customer selection 313.
Is it possible for you to switch off this obsolete and unsupported
functionality?
This was developed for internal purposes only and is no longer in use
for SAP Solution Manager 7.1.
Sorry for the bad news, but you will have to migrate or update
the SMSY systems which contain a customer key.
Hello Ilke,
thank you for confirming that this solved your problem.
Regarding the reply you got from SAP, I find it very interesting and it could give me a hint about another issue we are facing, but I am not sure I can help you much;
here's what I see in my system:
1) KONZS field of SMSY_LOG_COMP and SMSY_SYSTEM tables is always empty
2) though, the Business Partner field is now properly maintained in LMDB (at least for Logical Systems; Product systems are still showing an issue)
3) when opening SMSY transaction, a selection filter related to the Customer appears: for every Customer I select, I cannot see any Product system, but I can see the good Logical Components (the ones assigned -in LMDB- to the same Customer as the one I used in the filter): this must be related to the behavior I described in point 2).
So, it seems (but it is just a guessing of mine) that the filter functionality in SMSY is using some method other than the KONZS field in SMSY_LOG_COMP table to decide what's to be displayed: I don't know what this method is, though.
Anyway, just to clarify the question from SAP Support:
"Is it possible for you to swith off this obsolete and unsupported functionality?"
Do you have some entries in SMSY_LOG_COMP table where KONZS field is NOT empty? This is not clear to me.
Best regards
Paolo Croene
Hi Paolo,
Yes there are some records in that tables that's KONZS field is not empty.
SYSTEMNAME KONZS VERSION SYSTEMTYPE LSYSTEMNAME
KBD 0000000131 1 KBD
KBD 0000000131 ACTIVE KBD
KBD 0000000313 1 KBD
KBD 0000000313 ACTIVE KBD
KBD ALL_CUSNRS 1 KBD
KBD ALL_CUSNRS ACTIVE
For your 3. question, When I chose a BP in SMSY, I can see only the Logical Components that are created in SMSY before, I can't see the Logical Components that are created in LMDB, Managed System Configuration.
for the question "Is it possible for you to swith off this obsolete and unsupported functionality?", my answer is "yes it's possible if I can do".
Do you have any way to disable this function?
Regards, and thank you
Tutku
Hello Ilke,
unfortunately I don't know how to enable/disable that function.
I am just willing to add a further hint regarding the original issue you got: it might be helpful for you and other people as well.
The Business Partner assignment in LMDB can cause issues at Product System level, too (not only at Logical Component level):
that is, when assigning a Business Partner to the Product System in the LMDB and saving, the assignment is kept only for some minutes/hours, and then it vanishes.
This badly affects the replication of Product System's BP data at SMSY level, too.
SAP Note 1957919 which was released today solves the issue.
Best regards and Merry Christmas! 😉
