Fiori for multiple backends

Hello,

when registering the Gateway Service for SAP Fiori in /IWFND/MAINT_SERVICE I can enter the system alias and I could assign a role - so the idea is that user A accesses for example the productive system and user B the quality system - or user A another client then the user B in the same system.

Gateway is deployed as central hub. User exist in every system (Gateway, Backend).

So I can assign the specific role to the user in the gateway system - but "what" has to be in that role (authorization objects?)? Or is this just an "empty" dummy role?

If there is no role specified in /n/iwfnd/maint_service, then the data will be retrieved from all the back-end systems.

If there is only one role Z_XXX specified for back-endA, then the data will be retrieved from this ONLY ONE system back-endA if the user has the role Z_XXX.

It is just role object without sub detail objects.

Do you have any runtime issue? Please share your test result.
