PDS creation

Hi Experts,

I have a 4 level BOM and routing structure.

RM1 creates SFG1 (Semifinished good 1). SFG1 creates SFG2.((Semifinished good 2). SFG2 creates final good FG1.

Kindly validate below points:

1. If I create 3 Production versions ( 1 for each -SFG1, SFG2 and FG1) then in APO corresponding 3 PDS will be created after CIFing. Is this correct ?

2. Is this best possible scenario for creating Planned Orders in APO for a material with 4 levels of BOM or it can be better? In other words -- can we create Master Data in a batter way for a material with 4 level BOM?

3. Is this possible to create a PDS which has all 4 levels in it ? (Means the PDS of FG1 has information upto RM1 level in it )

2. Yes if this is requirement

3. when u transfer the PDS for all. and open FG PDS.. u can keep on expansing BOM (assembly) as you do in CS03 .

what matters in APO.. are all these materials are critical? do they need to be planned in APO?
