Condition category G is NOT redetermining the VPRS cost based on the latest material price

Hi,

Our VPRS cost is with condition category G. The billing was created on 20th of Jan with a pricing date of 25th Jan, and the system has calculated the VPRS cost based on material price valid on the 20th which is USD100. Please take note that this billing does not have a PGI document posted. So the VPRS cost is copied from material valuation standard price. Thereafter the user did a MR21 price change on the 22nd Jan to change the price to USD120. However when we try to re-update the prices now, the system is not re-calculating the VPRS price based on USD120.

Can someone please explain why the VPRS is not being recalculated from the latest material price valuation?

What exactly your procedure is?

Will you do billing Independent in PGI??

Then why dont you see the pricing type assigned to your procedure/Copy controls in VTFL.

As Suggested By Mr Lakshmipathi--have you tried with Pricing type(KSTEU)-H.

Pl let us know..

Hi Sanjay,

to update VPRS condition, try tcode VF_VPRS for billing documents and report  SDVPRSUPDATE for sales orders. For both, you have an option to simulate.

Hi JM,

That is a very close solution, however the customizing to activate this VPRS update function is at the company code level which means i cannot activate this function at the billing document type level which is making my life difficult. The problem is, once you activate this function at the company code level. then the VPRS of all billing types will have to be manually updated with this function. They will no longer be updated during billing.

But my requirement to update the VPRS function is only specific to certain billing types. Back to square one again!

If the customizing can allow me to limit the usage of this function at the billing type level then it will be great!

As per note 547570, go to the detail display of the VPRS condition.

  • If the condition control (KSTEU) is set to 'H', the cost was taken from the goods issue.
  • If it set to 'A', it was redetermined from the valuation segment of the material master,
  • in case of 'D' or 'E' it was copied from the preceding document.

Yes in this case it is taken from the material standard price but now that the material price has been changed we want to recalculate the VPRS price based on the latest standard price.

Hi,

if VPRS in billing document is determined from goods issue, then there is not chance to make the system reads again the material segment.
See the note 547570 point 11.

Best regards,

Ivano.

Hi

Please see these notes

SAP Note 1365939 - VPRS logic and Customizing settings in SD

SAP Note 24832 - Pricing rules / TVCPF

In note 24832 you have available a lot of suggestion how to re-determine VPRS in billing document.

I hope this helps you

Yes we followed that note and try to re-update the prices using the pricing type G and also N, but both are not recalculating the VPRS cost based on the latest changed material standard price.
