Hi Debasis,

Execute transaction /SAPAPO/RRP3.

Go to menu Settings and choose User Settings.

Go to General tab and check current Days' Supply Type

An Alert Profile has been assigned to your user

This Alert Profile has Days' Supply Types set

In standard, when Days' Supply Types are maintained in the Alert Profile, the Days' Supplies from the Alert Profile are always used.

The days' supply specifies how long this available quantity can cover the expected requirements.It indicates when the available quantity becomes negative for the first time, if there are no future receipts. Please check the same you have valid receipts to cover the requirements.

Hi Rupesh,

Thanks for quick reply . We are using Alert profile and want to let you we are using a BADI /SAPAPO/RRP_COVPARAM that is used for calculating the days supply type in product view. 9999.9 is the maximum duration maintained in days.I have noticed that if there are no elements for a product in product view the initial value visible in all the days supply type is 9999.9. And also if  there is surplus stock for a product, days supply type takes the maximum value.

   I reduced the stock to negative value at that time the Days supply type is populating a value.

So just to know that is this a standard thing ?and if it is then how its calculating the value ? Is there any formula.

Hi Debasis,

This is correct behavior according to SAP standard design. Please note quantity which is pegged via fixed pegging links is always covered; they do not participate in the calculation of the Days' Supply.

You can use BADI /SAPAPO/RRP_COVPARAM (From SAP Note 1027082) to influence the results of Day's Supply calculation

Day's Supply Type in defined in SAP customizing (T-code /SAPAPO/RRP_CVTYP).
SPRO -> Advanced Planning and Optimization
-> Supply Chain Planning
  -> Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS)
  -> Order View
  -> Define Days' Supply Types.
